2017 Bed Trends from The Bed Show
As we pride ourselves in keeping up to date with current bed trends and the latest innovations, we ensure we regularly visit trade shows to ensure we always have the knowledge we require to provide the best options to guarantee a peaceful and comfortable night’s sleep.
The Telford Bed Show
In September, we visited the Bed Show in Telford, which was really well attended and saw a mixture of innovation and a return to the high-quality, tried and tested materials we seek to stock in our range.
One of the most prominent stories which emerged from the Bed Show is that bed trends are definitely moving towards natural fillings, including cashmere, silk and wool. Many bed manufacturers are developing their own natural collections, keen to utilise the positive elements of these natural fibres.
New Additions
In recent weeks, we have taken on two exceptional new suppliers. Mlily, which is pronounced ‘M’ Lily’, are global partners with Manchester United football club and pride themselves on utilising cutting-edge technology to create a superior final product. We have also partnered with Mammoth, who only use medical-grade foam to guarantee a superior sleeping experience every time.
Mlily
Our Mlily range has been on sale in our Newbury store for the last two months and will soon be rolled out to our other stores across the country. We’re really pleased with how this range is being received, proving that cutting-edge technology also doesn’t have to cost the earth.
Stand-outs from the range include the ‘Gel Foam Series’, which utilises cooling gel memory foam and supportive support foam, and the ‘Memory 1000 Ortho’, which has been designed for people with chronic back pain.
Each product in the Mlily range currently has an expected delivery time of one week, demonstrating that we’re just as keen for you to receive your new mattress as soon as possible as you are.
Mammoth
Our new manufacturer, Mammoth, will be providing us with a three-bed range, all of which utilise their innovative medical-grade foam technology and with two of the beds also utilising supportive pocket springs. Mammoth’s origins are in healthcare, with the predecessor of their current technology successfully used by both the NHS and private healthcare providers to relieve pressure and provide support in medical beds.
By intuitively responding to the shape and weight of the human body, Medical Grade Foam is an incredibly effective material for ensuring maximum comfort. Helping sleepers to maintain a neutral position throughout the night, these mattresses provide immediate support and ensure good spinal alignment.
Traditional memory foam requires body heat to soften the surface, but Mammoth’s Medical Grade Foam is not sensitive to temperature and ensures the provision of a dry, cool and comfortable surface on which to sleep.
Launching in our Newbury store at the beginning of November these superior products are at the forefront of current bed trends and seek to provide an optimum night’s sleep throughout the year.
